Hi,
What dou you guys recommend for a round surfboard since I'm 5'11"tall and 165 pounds.I`ve been surfing for the last 20 years in Brazil, Spain, Costa Rica and California but I'm not like a pro, just a regular surfer.
I am between the e-lite 6'0" flyingfish and the e-lite TDM2 6'4".
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Giacomo
Hi Giacomo,
That's a tough one, both are great fun shapes and it really comes down to what style of surfing you're into and what you are looking for in a board.
The Flying Fish tends to sit quite low in the water when paddling but picks up waves early and easily. The E*Lite construction makes it a light board, very responsive on the waves and quick through turns.
The TDM2 has a bit more width but is one of our performance shapes. It has more float than the Fish and is easy to paddle and duck dive. It picks up waves easily and quickly and rides pretty loose and light. Responsive through turns and holds its speed down the line.
Generally, the TDM2 is favoured as an alternative short board for the bigger guys needing a bit more float than the Fish offers. The Flying Fish is a great addition to a quiver, offering a fun board for smaller wave days.
Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions
